About the project

Winning work is everything for a contractor, so George Cox & Sons needed to know exactly where every bid stood. Tender follows each one from the day it arrives to the outcome.

When a tender, PQQ or framework bid comes in, the office logs it with the client, scheme, return date, how it has to be returned and what it needs. It’s then passed to an estimator to price, and the app records who priced it, who submitted it, its value and whether it was won.

Along the way it:

  • Emails the office when a new tender is logged, and sends a weekly summary
  • Sends a calendar invite for each return date
  • Keeps any questions asked of the client, and enquiries to suppliers, with the tender
  • Lists everything still waiting on a response
  • Exports a report to Excel, with late returns flagged in red
